BEAUTY: LAZY GIRL'S MAKEUP
I'm sure i'm not alone when i say that if there's a corner to skip when it comes to applying makeup or a way to look 'made up' with minimum effort required, then i am all over it. Sometimes, it's just not feasible to spend anything between 15-30 minutes putting on your face when you can take the lazy girl's way out and look almost as done up in a fraction of the time. For these days, i have a set line-up of products i tend to go to, to avoid the fuss of rummaging through the piles and piles of makeup in my stash - all in the name of saving effort of course..
For base i like to keep it light, with the L'Oreal Eau De Teint Foundation(£9.99/€14.99) taking the spotlight which is without a doubt my favourite of the lighter coverage bunch. A light-weight water based foundation which blends seamlessly, evens out the skin-tone and leaves a semi-matte finish. The Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer(£7.99/€9.99) is then called in for areas that need a lil' extra concealing such as around the nose and on any blemishes, and to brighten up the under-eye area. On the cheeks, i use the bare minimum and simply opt for a little cream blush in the form of the Bourjois Cream Blush in Shade 02(£7.99/€10.49), for a much more natural finish that will stay put all day. To promote longevity, i like to set it all in place with my beloved Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder(£3.99/€5.99).
Even on lazy days 'dem brows need a lil' TLC, however instead of using the alternative wax candidate, i opt for powder for a softer finish. This Fuschia Brow(£12.00/€15.50)* offering is called in, fitted with a wax and powder, it's got everything you need to add shape and definition to the brows. To keep their unruly tendencies at bay, the Maybelline Brow Drama((£4.99/€7.49) works it's magic.
Eyes call for a little definition thanks to some neutral shadow. With a pop of burgundy from my Fuschia through the crease, softly blended out. Then a quick swipe and blend of the cult NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk(£5.50/€6.37) all over the lid. To finish - a lashing of L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara(£8.99/€13.49) to open and awaken the eyes more. Some days, i even go as far as popping on a little winged eyeliner to add more shape and give the appearance of fuller, thicker lashes.
For a look like this, it's no surprise i opted for one of my trusty Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in 07(£8.99/€12.49). A gorgeous nude lip cream, this "your lips but pinker shade" has got you covered for hours on end before the need to top-up, adding less work to the lazy girl check-list.
Long lasting, non straying but staying makeup, this line up has got your face covered for all your lazy girl days..
